A carefully planned website helps
to increase your company's credibility.
...this means plenty of information
organised in a clear and logical order and a site that is easy to navigate.
When several authors and Web masters are all contributing to the maintenance of
the same site, standards can slip and the benefits are reduced.
|
The Web Content Management product
offers back-up and support to help update information rapidly and reduce costs,
time and human resources to a minimum.
What to bear in mind:
-
How often and what amount of information should be updated?
-
How many people should be responsible for making these changes and where are
they actually doing this?
-
Do the authors of the site contents need to be helped by technicians?
-
Should the contents be published or replaced regularly?
-
The way in which the contents are presented should follow a standard layout
which is the same for all the companies in the group.
The solution:
-
BizContent: a Web application which enables a group of authors, editors
and translators to coordinate their work in order to create the company portal.
-
BizContent: for company groups. Each company within the group can be
managed autonomously and there can be one or more specific sections for
different activities. All contents entered will be published with a uniform
graphic layout.
-
BizContent: Separation of Web page layout and contents. The application
package provides standard templates for presenting the contents. The
authors/editors only need to think about entering the contents without having
to know about software programming or HTML layout.
-
BizContent: management of local differences. Each company can decide
which language the contents will be published in. Translations can be done by
one translation centre or carried out independently.
-
BizContent: product management with a hierarchical organisation. Each
company within the Group enters its own products in a tree structure. It is
also possible to enter the links and line of products of another associated
company in your own tree and the contents will be continuously updated.
-
BizContent:roles and authorisations. For each company or division,
specific roles are defined for Authors (e.g. prepare contents and collect
graphic material), Translators (prepare translations in the required language
for that company and/or division), Editors (check the contents and approve or
reject the publication).
